School Recycling Program ABC “A Bench for Caps” school recycling program is a partnership between school children, Tri-County Recycling Alliance, Ky Division of Waste Management and Green Tree Plastics,. A ‘hands-on’, real life experience in acquiring conservation habits for a lifetime of green living.
The students collect 250 pounds of metal-free plastic caps to exchange for a 6' playground bench made from Green Tree Plastics' 100% CASTplastic™ at a greatly reduced price of $150 each. Green Tree Plastics recycles our own plastic caps into specially designed parts, picnic tables ,benches and landscape timbers. STEPS YOUR SCHOOL SHOULD TAKE 1) Download, Print and Complete the application form HERE 2) Collect plastic caps from soft drink bottles, detergent bottles, and soft lids from food containers, remove all metal from the lid and collect 250 lbs in containers provided by Tri-County Recycling Alliance and Kentucky Division of Waste Management. 3) Contact Coordinator Pauline Allen @ (270) 830-7544 DOWNLOAD APPLICATION |
